STAFF TRANSITIONS
Thanks to the many applicants for the position of office manager/ bookkeeper. We are pleased to announce that Lynnette Rodriquez-Stec will join the Coalition staff on August 14, 2006. Her position combines some of the responsibilities of Elisa Meredith along with those of our former office manager, Amanda Boespflug. We will miss them both and wish them well in their new endeavors.

Office Manager / Bookkeeper
Description:
The New York State Labor-Religion Coalition seeks an office manager who also is committed to social and economic justice. This position calls for a friendly, flexible person to be our organization’s first contact with callers. Full-time: 32 to 40 hours / week. Salary Range: $ 28,000 to $ 35,000 year, commensurate with skills and experience, plus benefits. Pleasant working environment. We are currently accepting applications for this position, to start in early August 2006.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills: able to set up and maintain files, process mail, develop schedule, and assist staff in a variety of tasks.
- Database management (Access, Excel) for mailings, fundraising, and maintaining archives.
- Experience in maintaining computerized financial records and producing reports; competence in QuickBooks preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft XP applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and business forms.
- Experience organizing & coordinating operations for a small office, including familiarity with photocopy equipment, credit card processing and computers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
Additional qualifications and skills desired:
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Experience with graphics and/or desktop publishing a plus
