Me and My Uniform
SweatFree Communities, a national network of local anti-sweatshop coalitions, plans to launch a photo collection on its website showing workers in the U.S. who care about working conditions where their uniform is made.
Please send photos of uniformed city and state employees or students wearing school apparel, along with physical labels or photos of the labels. To help connect the dots between workers who sew and wear uniforms, SweatFree Communities will take photos to Bangladesh, El Salvador, Haiti, wherever the uniforms are sewn. It’s a first step in bringing labor abuses to the attention of cities, counties and states, so they can pressure companies to improve conditions. For specific guidelines, click here.
