2:45 – 5:30 Trainings (each participant chooses one):
A. HEALTHCARE NOW FOR ALL
Learn what “Healthcare-NOW” is doing across the country (and what YOU can do) to achieve a national health care system for every person in the U.S.
B. FAIR TRADE
Understand the roots of Fair Trade; experience tools/ techniques (and take them home) to promote it; learn the latest developments in the Fair Trade movement; taste samples.
C. SWEATSHOP-FREE PURCHASING & POLICIES
Workers in the United States and abroad are organizing to overcome exploitation. Find out how you can act locally to challenge corporate power and to end public financing of sweatshop exploitation.
D. IMMIGRATION
How can we make our communities more welcoming for "the stranger among us?" Among other topics, learn about immigrant contributions to New York's economy and culture, the New Sanctuary Movement, and the interactive "Lets Talk Immigration" workshop.

7:00 – 8:30 Awards and presentations by youth from around the state who are educating, activating, and empowering a new generation of social justice leaders

1. Involving clergy/religious leadership in worker struggles
2. Acting “globally & locally” to come full circle
3. Engaging voters in a critical election year
4. Bringing farm worker and domestic worker rights into the 21st century
5. Uphill Battle: Worker organizing in an anti-unin setting & the need for the Educating & activating for the transforming Employee Free Choice Act
